How it Started!

Hi! Welcome to Karina's Cake Pops. Thank you for coming to my site and supporting. 

 

​I started baking years ago as a hobby. It started as a way to release stress, but then quickly became something else. In 2016, my dad passed away, and it completely turned my world upside down. My older sister took it really hard and in an attempt to continuously try and bring happiness to her day, I would bake her items and bring it to her home in LA or go over and bake with her. Shortly after my dad passed, my sister got a new job opportunity and moved to Seattle. Every other week or so, I send her a package of baked goods. She always tells me that when she has a hard day, the baked goods are what makes her happy. ​

 

My grandma was a huge inspiration to me when it came to baking because she had a talent of baking anything and everything, and when you take a bite, you'd feel at home. ​I recently talked to my grandma about why I bake, and told her it's because it brings smiles to people's faces, especially my family's. She told me that she bakes for the same reason, and that her and I are so alike in that way. 

 

These women are the whole reason why I bake. I was raised in the kitchen with my mom who taught me everything I know. Knowing that I am carrying on with the family tradition of baking, and knowing that these sweet treats can make anyone's day, like my sister's, is the whole reason why I do it. ​
